First of all, my bed had the most comfortable mattress that I've slept in, probably in the last 5 years! I even took the time to pull off the covers to see what it was. Don't come to this town if you're on a diet! Great food everywhere especially the breakfast they have on site. Highly recommend!

Je suis desole, je ne parle pas francais. We came from United States and stayed here for 4 nights in June. Restaurant has good food, friendly staff, and were very helpful even though I don't speak French. Location is right on Chaleur Bay and is beautiful! Close to grocery store, gas station etc. Rooms are ok.***Update***: Rooms were remodeled in 2015-2016 and are much nicer now! I will definitely stay there again. Merci!

Very happy with my stay! I was happy to see that my room (comfort room) was very beautiful, clean & newly renovated! It had a very nice view on the ocean as well! My only complaints are that my device wouldn't connect to the free WiFi and that the TV could have had more channels. During my stay, I had dinner at the hotel's restaurant which was delicious! It had a decent selection of dishes made with ingredients produced locally! Overall, I am very pleased with my decision to stay at Auberge du Marchand and I would recommend it to anyone going in that area!

What a beautiful spot! First time visiting the area. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beds were so comfy I didn’t want to get up! Great location, IGA next door, water at the back. I would recommend and will be coming back for sure!!

Absolutely lovely place and the hotel staff is so sweet you get a beautiful room, the art inside is gorgeous and inspiring the location is perfect , room is clean bed is beautifully made, you get shower wash things in the bathroom ,some perfectly placed hangers for your clothes, ac ,big mirror. We are so happy for our stay here, best placed we stayed so far in the whole Gaspe region and we've been traveling for a week already.Highly recommend

Arrived without a reservation and very happy to find they could accommodate us. Clean comfortable room with nice decor...comfy bed! Loved the location on the water and next to a grocery store. Auberge du Marchand also has a shared room with a kitchenette and seating. The restaurant is the perfect place for breakfast and lunch. Very hospitable and bilingual.

Gorgeous little Auberge with an amazing restaurant downstairs. Talk about the best salad dressing on earth and great quality vegetables with amazingly fresh meals ! To add to the amazing served food they also sell food products such as salmon candy , and many other cool stuff ! It is my second stay and I will definitely be coming to eat here, again .
